Short answer: in Enshrouded 1.0, the melee weapons worth chasing are concentrated in the two late-game regions, Veilwater Basin and Albaneve Summits, where named gear sits around level 40–50. Confirmed highlights include the Aurora Sword (Albaneve Summits, Lv 50, 0.6s, 109 damage, Precise / Magic Ice / Piercing), the Battering Ram Hammer (Albaneve Summits, Lv 50, 0.7s, 175 damage, 234 parry power), the Spiked Greatsword (Veilwater Basin, Lv 41, 0.7s, Retaliation / Stamina Leech), the Adorned Drakling Daggers (Veilwater Basin, 0.4s, Precise / Merciless) and the Chief Drak'Dal Axe (Lv 46, 0.6s, off Drak enemies). Where a number was never verified, you will see a dash instead of a fabricated figure. Everything below is a reference to help you decide what to farm, not a full catalogue of every weapon in the game.
How to use this guide
- Decide which category fits your build — speed, parry, stagger, leech or elemental damage.
- Check the table for that category to see what is confirmed and where it comes from.
- Match the drop region to your level. Springlands and Revelwood are early; Nomad Highlands and Kindlewastes are mid; Albaneve Summits and Veilwater Basin are late and will kill you if you arrive underlevelled.
- If a cell shows a dash, treat that value as unknown rather than zero.
- Compare perks, not rarity colour. Most named weapons roll as Legendary simply because the game hands out colourful loot often.
Where weapons come from
- No vendor sells weapons in Enshrouded. You craft, loot, or take them from enemies.
- Starter items (Club, Daggers, Bow) appear instantly from the inventory menu; their material costs are not confirmed.
- Station-made starters: Scrappy Sword (Blacksmith — 1 Wood Log, 3 Metal Scraps, 2 Nails), Spiked Club (Blacksmith — 4 Nails, 4 Wood Logs), Spiritual Cane (Alchemist — 3 Shroud Wood, 4 Bonemeal, 2 Resin).
- Regional chests supply most named drops; a few weapons come off specific enemy factions.
- Lore Weapons (Blessed Club, Ancestral Star, Circus Knives, Bow of the Serpent, Cryptic Wand, Guard of the North Sword) are crafted only after a quest unlocks the recipe.

| Chief Drak'Dal Axe | Drak drop | Lv 46, 0.6s | Merciless, Ruthless, Blunt, Opportunistic, Stalking |
| Bonebreaker | Revelwood | — | Cutting, Brutal, Merciless |
| Dark Cleaver | Kindlewastes | — | Blunt, Magic Shroud, Brutal |
| Celestial Axe | Albaneve Summits | — | Cutting, Piercing, Brutal, Precise |

| Dark Morningstar | Albaneve Summits | — | Piercing, Magic Shroud, Renewal, Precise |
Axes lean on Cutting plus Brutal, while clubs favour Blunt and stagger perks such as Merciless. Bonescourge Mace is worth a second look because 1.0 reworked Hollow Halls weapons to hit the Hollow faction harder.

| Barbarian Greatsword | Springlands | — | Piercing, Renewal, Precise, Cutting |
| Chimerical Greatsword | Nomad Highlands | — | Magic Shroud, Merciless, Cutting |
Blood Omen and Curse Bringer genuinely share the same five-perk line; they simply drop from different spots inside one region. Boreal and Darkwood likewise mirror each other, and the only difference is where they appear. All two-handed axes gained quietly from a 1.0 fix that stopped the second swing and the spin attack from missing valid targets.
Daggers after the 1.0 rework
| Weapon | Source | Stats | Perks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adorned Drakling Daggers | Veilwater Basin | 0.4s | Precise, Merciless, Cutting, Magic Shock |
| Broodmother's Eye | Veilwater Basin | Lv 43, 0.4s, 187 parry | Venomous Blades, Vicious, Opportunistic, Magic Shock |
| Baroness Daggers | Revelwood | — | Cutting, Venomous Blades, Poison, Vicious |
| Corrosive Daggers | Revelwood | — | Cutting, Venomous Blades, Poison, Vicious |
| Blink Daggers | Revelwood | — | Cutting, Vicious, Sneaky, Magic Shroud, Mana Leech |
| Blunt Knives | Springlands | — | Blunt, Precise, Vicious, Sneaky |
| Crystal Knives | Albaneve Summits | — | Venomous Blades, Vicious, Health Leech, Renewal |
| Circus Knives | Lore Weapon (craft) | — | Sneaky, Cutting, Brutal |
The critical change is where the skills live: dagger nodes moved out of the Warrior tree into Assassin. Four sets — Assassin, Frostbite Slasher, Blood Feather and one new 1.0 set — now improve melee critical chance rather than sneak-attack damage. Some blades were also flipped visually so the edge points downward in your grip.
Tips before you farm
- Rarity and region are different things. A Legendary tooltip does not mean the item is scarce, because named gear rolls Legendary constantly.
- Shields and Wards sit in a defensive slot and are not part of the twelve weapon categories.
- Combat weapons do not follow the wood→copper→bronze→iron→steel ladder; that progression belongs to Tools such as the Felling Axe.
- Do not expect a vendor. Craft at a station, open region chests, or loot enemies.
- Boss-specific drops are rare in this game; most named weapons come from regional chests, which is why Jezmina's Apotheosis (Vukah Brawler) is notable.
- Other confirmed enemy or cache sources: Chief Drak'Dal Axe (Drak), Acid Cleaver (Scavenger), Wailing Blade (Scavenger's Stash cache).
Known gaps
No definitive best pick is confirmed yet for one-handed axes, two-handed axes, or either club size. Throwing Weapons are a confirmed separate category, but no names, stats or sources are documented, so that section remains empty rather than guessed. Material costs for the instant inventory crafts are still unconfirmed, and Wands and Staves share the Magical Weapon crafting path with the same missing cost data. Roughly 38 named swords are believed to exist, but only four have verified stats and sources, so the rest are omitted here on purpose.
