Tenebris Somnia: Chinese Localization Installation

To install the Chinese localization for Tenebris Somnia, close the game, extract the downloaded patch, and copy TenebrisSomnia_ZH_Retail_v1.0_P.pak into the game's TenebrisSomnia\Content\Paks\ folder. Then start the game through Steam and select 简体中文 in the language settings. If the language list still says 日本語, select that entry instead: this patch uses the original Japanese option and replaces its text with Chinese.

Before installing

• Exit Tenebris Somnia completely before changing its files.
• Have the downloaded Chinese localization archive ready and extract it to a normal folder.
• Use only one Chinese localization version at a time. Do not combine this patch with another Chinese patch.

Find the correct game folder

1. Open Steam and go to your Library.
2. Right-click Tenebris Somnia.
3. Choose Manage, then select Browse local files.
4. In the folder Steam opens, enter these directories in order:

TenebrisSomnia\Content\Paks\

The folder opened by Steam is the game installation directory. It is not the folder where the Steam application itself is installed. The final destination should contain the game's existing resource packages.

Remove older localization files

If a Chinese patch was installed previously, move its files to another folder as a backup before installing the new one. Older files may include:

• TenebrisSomnia_ZH_P.pak
• TenebrisSomnia_ZH_v1.0_P.pak
• TenebrisSomnia_ZH_Prototype_P.pak

Also remove or move other Chinese localization .pak files from the active Paks folder. Do not leave multiple versions installed together, and do not mix this retail patch with another localization package.

Copy the retail patch

Copy only the extracted file below into the Paks folder:

TenebrisSomnia_ZH_Retail_v1.0_P.pak

Keep the filename unchanged. Do not copy the installation instructions into the game folder. Do not delete, replace, or rename the original game packages. A correctly installed folder will contain the original package and the Chinese patch together, for example:

Select Chinese in the game

Launch the game normally from Steam and open its language settings. Choose 简体中文 if it appears. If the list still labels the relevant option as 日本語, choose 日本語; the patch uses that original language slot, so its displayed text is replaced with Chinese. After the change, the main menu should contain Chinese entries such as 新游戏 and 读取存档, using a pixel-style font.
