Tenebris Somnia: Apartment Puzzle Walkthrough

To clear the main apartment puzzles in Tenebris Somnia, begin by opening Ivan’s bedroom window, processing the blood-marked glass, and using the resulting Auritsatio on the locked Study Door. Later apartment sections require two batteries for the TV remote, a timed sequence of floor symbols, and a blue Triangular Stone combined with the Scissor Blade and X-Ray to obtain the A.S. Key.

Ivan’s Apartment Study Door

1. Enter the bathroom through the blue door beside the Devora poster and pick up the Wrench.
2. Go through the grey kitchen door and collect the Developing Chemical.
3. Enter Ivan’s bedroom through the door to the right of the television.
4. Equip the Wrench and strike the boarded window on the right side of the bedroom. Continue until the lower board falls away and sunlight is visible.
5. Take the Glass from the nightstand on the opposite side of the room.
6. Return to the bathroom and stand in front of the broken mirror. Use the Glass from your inventory to obtain Glass with Blood.
7. Combine Glass with Blood with the Developing Chemical. The result is Glass with Chemical and Blood.
8. Return to the opened bedroom window and use the combined glass while standing in front of the window. You will receive Auritsatio.
9. Use Auritsatio on the locked Study Door to unlock it.

TV Remote and Floor-Symbol Puzzle

1. In Ivan’s Floor 2 office, inspect the clothes rack beside the laptop desk and collect the Glove.
2. Return to the kitchen and use the Glove on the circuit breaker on the left side.
3. After the power goes out and the washing machine stops, take the first Battery.
4. Go to the bathroom and interact with the tub curtain to reveal the second Battery.
5. Use the elevator to reach Floor 3, then enter the earlier version of Ivan’s apartment. In the office, use both Batteries on the TV remote on the desk.
6. Return to the Floor 2 apartment. The television will now show a sequence of symbols. Press the matching floor symbols quickly enough to open the door beside the television.

The symbol sequence is randomized, so do not rely on an order from another playthrough. Watch the television in your game and enter its displayed sequence.

Key Stuck in Door

1. After speaking with Sanguis, collect the blue Triangular Stone from the candle arena, to the right of the red candle.
2. Before leaving the apartment, collect the Scissor Blade from the kitchen counter and the X-Ray from the short bookshelf below the front door, between the picture frame and lamp.
3. Leave the apartment and follow the hallway toward the green Floor 2 elevator. At the blue symbol door, use the Triangular Stone to enter.
4. Inside, find the leftmost door marked A.S., identifiable by the red carpet beneath it.
5. Stand at that door and use the Scissor Blade, then use the X-Ray. These items produce the A.S. Key.

Mop Handle in the Candle Arena

After solving the Devora poster puzzle, collect the Mop Handle from the bathroom next to the director’s office. Return to the Floor 2 apartment and go back to the candle arena where you found the Triangular Stone. Stand beside the square wall section near the windows and use the Mop Handle. This interaction starts the next battle, so make sure you are ready before using it.
