In Feed the Cups, Demon Card abilities unlock through color-based prerequisites: collect the relevant basic cards first, then the matching advanced, dual-color, or King cards can begin appearing. A card is not guaranteed to appear as soon as its requirement is met; the requirement only gives it a chance to refresh.

Understand the nine card abilities

Each color represents one ability or play style. The nine single-color abilities are:

Unlock single-color cards

  • The basic card on the left can refresh randomly without a prerequisite.
  • The advanced card on the right requires you to obtain its corresponding basic card first.
  • After that basic card has been obtained, the advanced card can appear randomly in later refreshes.

For example, obtain the red basic card before expecting the advanced red card to have a chance to appear. The same rule applies to every color in the table.

Unlock dual-color cards

There are 36 dual-color cards. They are formed from every pair of the nine colors, and their effect combines the effects represented by those two colors. To make a dual-color card eligible to refresh, first obtain both of its matching single-color cards.

For example, the dual-color card associated with red and orange requires one red card and one orange card beforehand. Once both colors have been collected, the red-orange card may refresh; it is still not guaranteed to be the next card offered.

Unlock King cards

King cards use a count-based color requirement. A basic King card can begin appearing after you have obtained two cards that carry the same color. Those two cards may be:

  • Two single-color cards of that color;
  • Two dual-color cards that both include that color; or
  • One single-color card of that color and one dual-color card containing it.

For instance, red King cards such as “Hunger Marketing” and “Absolute Extreme” can become eligible through any of those three red-card combinations. The important condition is obtaining two qualifying red cards, not necessarily two copies of the same card.

Unlock advanced King cards

Advanced King cards follow the same progression as advanced single-color cards. First meet the requirement for the corresponding basic King card, then obtain that basic King card. Only after this prerequisite can the advanced King card have a chance to refresh.

Therefore, the minimum progression for an advanced King card is four card acquisitions: first obtain two cards carrying the required color, then obtain the basic King card, and finally obtain the advanced King card. Because refreshes are probabilistic, meeting each stage does not guarantee an immediate offer. Plan around the color you want and continue taking qualifying cards until the next tier appears.
