Enshrouded's resource economy is best approached as three separate questions: where a raw material can be gathered or mined, which crafting station turns it into a refined item, and which biome contains the specific node you need. The source guide organizes resources exactly this way, listing gatherable and mined materials alongside the station or NPC that produces each crafted item. The single most useful habit is to search a long reference list by material name using Ctrl+F, and if a name fails to match, try swapping the Russian letters "Е" and "Ё" in the spelling, since the guide uses both inconsistently. For node farming, the guide points to a dedicated section on efficient mining spots rather than scattering locations through the list.
Where to Farm Core Deposits
The source names specific efficient mining locations for the main ore and mineral nodes. Treat these as starting points for a farming run:
| Resource | Source-stated farming location |
|---|---|
| Salt | Egerton Salt Mines |
| Flint | Small Flint Mine |
| Copper | Semet's Mark |
| Iron | Ridgeback Mine |
| Lapis lazuli | Excavation Camp near the Obelisk |
| Sulfur | Excavation Camp near the Obelisk |
| Amber | Listed as a deposit site without a named location |
| Tin | Listed as a deposit site without a named location; the Shroud root is found in the same place |
| Clay | Near the Spire; digging deeper yields a large amount |
| Obsidian | Caves reachable from the Obsidian Forge |
Amethyst, silver, and coal are listed as deposits in the Albaneve Summits frost biome, but the source does not attach a named mining location to them.
Gathering Raw Materials in the Field
- Wood and plant fiber: Logs come from chopping trees; resin drops in small amounts from the same trees. Plant fiber comes from green bushes, and twigs drop from bushes or occasionally from trees.
- Metal scrap: Taken from marauder corpses or by breaking rusty metal structures.
- Stone and terrain: Stone is gathered from the surface or mined underground with a pickaxe. Sand comes from sandy terrain in the Kindlewastes, sandstone from its rocks, and limestone from mountains in the Nomad Highlands or from digging deeper into the terrain.
- Shroud materials: Mycelium is dug from soil overgrown with white mushrooms or from bright blue growths in the Shroud. Shrouded wood comes from chopping trees inside the Shroud.
- Blackmire timber: Bark, foliage, and the wood core are all mined with a pickaxe from the huge trees, and the core requires breaking through the bark first.
- Fossils: The guide groups fossil finds by region, for example ammonites and sea urchins in the Springlands, trilobites and gastropods in the Revelwood, shark teeth and sea lilies in the Nomad Highlands, and shrimp, fish, and crab fossils in the Kindlewastes.
Crafting Chains and Stations
Smelting and Metal
- Iron ingots, copper ingots, and glass are produced in the Smelter from ore or sand plus charcoal.
- Tin ingots require tin ore, wood acid, and charcoal in the Smelter; bronze ingots combine copper ingots, tin ingots, and charcoal.
- Steel and silver ingots are smelted in the Blast Furnace from iron ore or silver ore plus coal.
- Metal sheets are made at the Blacksmith from charcoal and metal scrap, and nails also come from the Blacksmith using scrap.
Wood, Kiln, and Masonry
- The Charcoal Kiln produces charcoal, wood acid, and tar from logs and dirt.
- Wooden boards are cut on the Carpenter's circular saw.
- Fired brick is made in the Industrial Furnace from clay lumps and logs.
- Road blocks are crafted at the Workbench: dirty road block from dirt, smooth stone road block from dirt and stone, rocky stone and granite rubble blocks from stone or granite, and limestone road block from limestone.
Farming, Milling, and Cooking Inputs
- Flour is ground from wheat grain and bone meal from bones at the Millstone; charcoal dust and silver dust are also ground there, along with fossil bone flour and obsidian dust.
- Wheat grain and straw are obtained at the Harvest Barn location.
- Fertile soil is made by the Farmer from dirt and bone meal, or dug from crop fields such as Woodgard; fertilized soil combines sand, fossil bone flour, and saltpeter; flower soil combines fertile soil and honey.
- Saltpeter, black powder, paper, spices, and Shroud oil are Laboratory products.
Textiles and Leather
- Linen fabric is spun from flax at the Spinning Wheel or with a spindle, and fabric is woven from linen fabric at the Loom.
- Colored fabrics are made by the Hunter: yellow from fabric and saffron, green from fabric and mint mushroom pulp, blue from fabric and indigo, red from fabric and sulfur, and purple from fabric and mowein.
- Leather is produced at the Tanning Station from salt, dried fur, and ammonia gland; reptile leather is dried from reptile hide and salt.
- Tanned leather is made by the Hunter from leather and wax, unlocked after the Alchemist quest to find two tapestry pieces.
Shroud and Ectoplasm Refining
- Shroud oil is made in the Laboratory from a Shroud particle, charcoal dust, brittle Shroud flakes, and sulfur.
- Shroud cores drop from fallen bosses and banshees, or are crafted by the Alchemist from Shroud spores and liquid Shroud.
- Ectoplasm is pressed in the Ectoplasm Press: standard from fragments, cloth, and charcoal; sturdy from shards, cloth, and charcoal; superior from crystals, charcoal dust, cloth, and fabric.
- Purified slime is pressed from charcoal, salt, poisonous slime, and wood acid.
Food Slot Rules
Each food belongs to a type and occupies one of the four slots, three of which are tied to a perk. You cannot eat two dishes of the same type at once, so two different meats or two mushroom dishes will not stack. Combine dishes of different types to gain damage, comfort, or survivability bonuses.
