For a Flame Level 1 challenge run in Enshrouded, you can farm Powder Balls and experience points without ever upgrading your Flame. Powder Balls come from two shelves in the starting tutorial cave, and the second shelf restocks every time you restart the world, giving you an effectively unlimited supply for terrain excavation. Experience is best farmed by mining the large Flint deposit beside the first Ancient Spire in the Springlands, which yields roughly 5,000 experience when fully cleared. Both methods rely only on early-game tools and stay safe from the Shroud, making them ideal when your Flame is locked at Level 1 and your Shroud timer is severely limited.
Why These Two Farms Matter at Flame Level 1
When you never upgrade the Flame, the map stays dangerous: most regions remain red Shroud, your total Shroud time starts at only 5 minutes (4 from your character, 1 from the Flame), and each minute of real time gives you just 1 second inside red Shroud. That makes normal progression gated behind exploration you cannot easily survive. Powder Balls solve the digging problem, since early pickaxes are slow, and Flint mining solves the leveling problem, since you cannot safely grind Shroud enemies for experience.

- Place your second Flame Altar near the second shelf inside the tutorial cave.

The only drawback is that the most efficient route needs the Double Jump skill to clear the dirt wall separating you from the shelf.
Flint EXP Farming
Location
Mine the Flint deposits right next to the first Ancient Spire in the Springlands. The area holds numerous Flint veins that can be mined quickly and safely, with no combat and no Shroud exposure required.

- Reliable and accessible from the very beginning of the game.
- No need to fight dangerous enemies or enter the Shroud.
- The massive Flint vein rewards roughly 5,000 experience points when mined completely.

Clearing the whole deposit takes time, but the experience return makes it one of the most efficient leveling methods available when your Flame is stuck at Level 1 and survival and efficiency matter more than speed.
