Mycopunk AFK Strategy Guide: Maximizing Inactivity
To successfully implement the AFK strategy in Mycopunk, the primary objective is to reach the designated ship as rapidly as possible. Once you have reached the ship, the passive (AFK) phase of the mission commences. Because speed is critical to initiating the passive state while minimizing threat exposure, it is strongly recommended that you use your fastest available character for this initial sprint.
Prerequisites and Recommendations
To optimize your experience, certain in-game items are recommended based on the strategy you intend to employ:
- For Fire Grenade Strategy: Ensure you have access to 'In For A Penny', 'In For a Pound', 'Welding Heat', and 'Restoration protocol'.
- For Acid Grenade Strategy: Ensure you have access to 'In For A Penny', 'In For a Pound', and 'Polymer Coating'.
Generally, players are advised to aim for high rolls across all available upgrades, with particular emphasis placed on improving 'In For A Penny' and 'In For a Pound'.
Executing the AFK Procedure
The core loop of this strategy requires quick action followed by extended inactivity. Follow these steps precisely:
- Sprint to the Ship: Start the mission and immediately proceed to reach the ship. Once you reach it, position yourself on top of it.
- Initiate the Passive Meter: Remain still, looking at the floor, until the designated meter fills up to 100%.
- Activate the Ship Mechanism: Once the meter is full, enter the ship and pull the lever.
- Wait Period: Do nothing further until exactly five seconds remain before the ship arrives.
- Extraction: Extract from the mission to complete the process.
This strategy functions because contact with the ship causes all enemies to cease movement. The only enemy capable of actively attacking during this period is the mortar. Due to this singular threat, making your initial approach swift is paramount. If you find yourself under attack during the AFK phase, you have the option to engage the enemy directly or seek cover amongst the various objects located on top of the ship.
