Control Resonant contains 49 achievements on Xbox and Steam, along with a PS5-exclusive Platinum for complete progression: six Resonant boss defeats, Zone leveling, Talent and Artifact crafting, and side stories including Freeze Frame, The Last Taxi, and Every Dog Has Her Day. Full completion requires no DLC, and only one karaoke achievement is even semi-missable. Full Completion

Interdimensional Protector
Description: Earn all other achievements
How to get: Nothing here becomes permanently missable before the credits, because free roam leaves every side activity available afterward. Copy your profile save at the title screen before the final Hedron fight, then finish anything remaining at your preferred pace. This is exclusive to PS5: Xbox and Steam currently stop at 49 achievements without their own completion reward, although Xbox has confirmed that a Platinum-style feature is coming later in 2026.

Resonant Boss Achievements

Six regional Resonants and the final Hedron battle form the foundation of the list. Defeating each Resonant also starts a Resonant Cycle that increases Manhattan's overall threat level, so avoid leaving too much time between fights while still under-leveled.

Artistic Liberation
Description: Kill the Resonant in Downtown
How to get: The Artist is fought automatically during the Orientation main quest, making this impossible to miss. Victory unlocks The Gap, through which every upgrade system in the game operates.

Thermal Termination
Description: Kill the Resonant in Central
How to get: The Deserter is inside the Patterned Factory. Go in through the destructible rooftop door and take the elevator down to the boss floor. Defeating it is necessary for main-story progress.

Curtain Fall
Description: Kill the Resonant in the West Incursion Zone
How to get: The Dancer occupies an altered theater, accessible after the Jesse quest The Incursion Fault gives you Gravity Shift. This fight is also story-required.

Insidious Growth
Description: Kill the Resonant in the Park
How to get: The Collective is optional and is accessed through The Park Checkpoint in Central. Consume four Mold samples located across three side buildings to open its door. October hotfix 1.4.1 corrected the bug that previously prevented the Mold-eating step, so it no longer occurs.

Astral Reconfiguration
Description: Kill the Resonant in the Underpass
How to get: The Physicist is waiting at the top of The Spire. Retrieve three keys from nearby floating islands to open its door. This battle is completely optional.

Honorable Discharge
Description: Kill the Resonant in the Unknown
How to get: The Co-Director becomes accessible only after Pope's Research opens Gravity Wells between the islands of the Unknown. It is the game's final optional Resonant.

The First Link
Description: Sever the first Pattern Link
How to get: This happens automatically during the main quest The Hedron Link in the Underpass. Ordinary story progression unlocks it.

Stop it at the Source
Description: Sever all the Hedron Links
How to get: Complete the main quest Sever the Hedron Links, the story thread that runs through the Unknown.

Repeating, Refracting
Description: Kill the Hedron
How to get: The campaign ends with the final boss battle, and the achievement activates as soon as the credits begin after Fight the Core.

Graffiti Artist
Description: Complete the Mural in the Gap
How to get: All six Resonants must be dead and the Hedron must be defeated. Defeat every Resonant before the ending and this unlocks alongside Repeating, Refracting; save one for later and it activates as soon as that final Resonant is defeated, whether the story is complete or not.

Main Story Achievements

These six achievements accompany the three questlines—Contain the Crisis, Search for Jesse, and Defeating Resonants—that proceed alongside one another throughout the campaign.

Assigned to Accept
Description: Obtain Aberrant
How to get: This is your first achievement, earned during an early Quick Time Event before you select a starting Form.

Parautilitarian
Description: Obtain your first Combat Ability
How to get: It activates automatically after the Artist fight, when Orientation has you select an ability.

Field Work
Description: Reach level 3 in any Zone
How to get: Regular exploration and the main quest Evacuation Procedures take you beyond this level without a detour.

Rescue Mission
Description: Rescue Arish
How to get: This is connected to the main quest Evacuation Procedures in the Evacuation Zone.

Enemy of My Enemy
Description: Help with the CFD
How to get: Complete the main quest with the same name, which also takes place in the Evacuation Zone.

Sibling Reunion
Description: Complete all Fault Rituals
How to get: Each new Zone contains a Jesse illusion that begins a short platforming sequence and awards a new traversal ability. Completing each one during the story is enough for this achievement.

Side Quest & Exploration Achievements

The largest time investment in the guide is here: optional side stories, map collectibles, and one genuinely tense karaoke sequence.

Up to the Task
Description: Complete a World Feat
How to get: One of the earliest choices is on an FBC Terminal inside the Oldest House in Downtown. Respond to its three prompts, and the achievement appears without a turn-in.

FBC Recruit
Description: Complete an FBC Task
How to get: Choose one from any FBC Taskboard after an NPC outside the Central Field Office introduces the system.

Diligent Consultant
Description: Complete 20 FBC Tasks
How to get: Manhattan has seven boards with six tasks apiece, meaning only half of the available tasks are needed. New tasks continue appearing as Resonants are defeated.

Form Over Function
Description: Obtain 12 outfit items
How to get: Side stories, Vendor purchases, Zone level rewards, and SHÜM arcade prizes all provide pieces. Ordinary completion activities alone give you plenty.

Panopticon Intern
Description: Contain Altered Items and help Langston
How to get: Complete these six side stories: Panopticon Service Request, Into the Valley of Death, Freeze Frame, A New Directive, The Complete Set, and The Party Won't Stop, the karaoke quest below.

Be What You Want to Be
Description: Save everyone during karaoke
How to get: During The Party Won't Stop in the West Incursion Zone, select nine correct lyrics consecutively: Gasoline, Stress, So fleeting, Too long, Move, Fear, Everything, Higher and higher, then Shout. A single incorrect choice kills a dancer and invalidates the achievement, but the game autosaves after every main quest, allowing you to reload and retry.

Threshold Researcher
Description: Deal with all the Thresholds in Manhattan
How to get: This includes three side stories: Unsupervised Science, consisting of six underground Testing Facilities divided between Soda Dispenser puzzles and Power Core puzzles; The Last Taxi, involving seven anomalous cabs, one in each Zone; and Crossing the Threshold.

Budding Analyst
Description: Help Pope finish her research
How to get: It becomes available immediately after the main quest The Hedron Link and requires planting antennas from eight research balloons in the Unknown to create Gravity Wells between its islands.

Work-Life Balance
Description: Complete all instances of the Sketchbook
How to get: Eleven scenes are spread throughout every Zone. Locate the missing props near each marked scene and place them in the correct position, allowing Dylan to sketch the completed page.

Dog's Best Friend
Description: Gain a furry friend
How to get: All seven Zones contain a mysterious dog and a blue dragon toy somewhere nearby. Bring back every toy, then pet the dog one last time at The Gap to complete the chain.

Backroom Espionage
Description: Visit all Secret Hideouts
How to get: Six of the seven Zones contain hidden rooms behind store-front puzzles; the Underpass has none. Each room awards a permanent Health Upgrade Point in addition to the achievement.

Budding Mycologist
Description: Deal with the major Mold Incidents in Manhattan
How to get: Finish New Growth and all three parts of Carbon Copy.

Progression & Power Achievements

Talents, Artifacts, Aberrant upgrades, and Zone levels all pass through The Gap. Most of these unlock naturally if resources are spent as they are collected rather than hoarded.

Astral Construction
Description: Purchase an Aberrant Upgrade
How to get: Purchase any one Primary or Secondary Form upgrade from the pillar in The Gap.

Finalization Protocol
Description: Unlock a Combo Finisher
How to get: Reach Aberrant Strength 15 before Combo Finishers can be bought from that same pillar.

Astral Potency
Description: Reach Aberrant Strength 100
How to get: Fully upgrading your two starting Forms provides Aberrant Strength 50. Later Forms and skills provide the remainder, so favor the larger +3 and +5 Strength upgrades over the +1 options.

Astral Adept
Description: Max-out any Aberrant Form
How to get: Complete every upgrade tier for one weapon. This occurs naturally while working toward Astral Potency.

Promising Recruit
Description: Unlock a Talent
How to get: Spend your first Talent Point at the stone circle in The Gap, which is available once the Artist is defeated.

Versatile Expert
Description: Unlock 30 Talents
How to get: Zone Levels are the primary source of Talent Points, so this arrives with Zone Warden and Field Control without requiring a separate grind.

Paranatural Apprentice
Description: Craft an Artifact
How to get: At the Artifact Formation station in The Gap, craft any one of the game's 30-plus Artifacts using an Untapped Artifact, Source, and materials.

Paranatural Craftsman
Description: Equip 3 Artifacts
How to get: Equip three crafted Artifacts simultaneously in your Loadout. Pay attention to Artifact families, because a loadout cannot contain two Artifacts from the same family.

Paranatural Artisan
Description: Craft 30 Artifacts
How to get: Recrafting one Artifact repeatedly counts toward the total. Select an inexpensive recipe—several cost only 150 Source and a few Echoes—and keep making it.

Core Competency
Description: Obtain a Health Upgrade or Power Upgrade
How to get: A complete Upgrade requires three crate pieces, and a Secret Hideout automatically gives one piece, so this unlocks during ordinary exploration.

Personal Development
Description: Obtain 4 Health Upgrades
How to get: Twelve Health Upgrade Points make four complete Upgrades. The six Secret Hideouts by themselves provide half of that amount.

Astral
Description: Obtain 4 Power Upgrades
How to get: The calculation matches Health Upgrades: the six Unsupervised Science Testing Facilities provide six of the twelve Power Upgrade Points required.

Field Control
Description: Reach level 5 in every Zone
How to get: Story quests, World Feats, and Resonant Cycle resets all grant Zone XP, so this comes through general completion across all seven Zones.

Zone Warden
Description: Unlock 40 Zone Upgrades
How to get: Every Zone reaches level 15, producing 105 Upgrades across the game. Therefore, 40 is a low requirement that normal progress fulfills well before everything else is complete.

Combat Mastery Achievements

These four achievements examine particular combat systems rather than total playtime, and three involve choosing an appropriate single enemy for practice.

Combat Readiness
Description: Equip a Combat Ability in every slot
How to get: Five Resonant battles—West Incursion Zone, Central, Underpass, Park, and Unknown—provide five abilities. After the main story, Pope's Research adds a Resonant Combat Token that unlocks the sixth slot.

Psychic Domination
Description: Command a Breaker enemy
How to get: Command is unlocked through the Co-Director fight in the Unknown. Gain three charges from kills, then use it on an oversized Breaker, such as the Hiss Transporter bus appearing during Central's Hold the Line World Feat.

Intense Precision
Description: Keep Dominance active for 60 seconds
How to get: Purchase the Dominance Talent, then chain execution finishers against the respawning Drones in The Gap's training area so the Dominance timer does not expire.

Paranatural Agility
Description: Perform 3 Perfect Dodges in less than 6 seconds
How to get: Unlock the Perfect Dodge Talent, then evade a repeating attack—such as an enemy's sustained laser—three times consecutively.

Fun & Miscellaneous Achievements

These are three fast, low-effort achievements that do not belong elsewhere on the list.

Love to Deep Dive
Description: Visit the Gap 3 times in less than 5 minutes
How to get: Hold down to warp in, hold it again to leave, and repeat that process twice more. This can be done as soon as The Gap opens.

SHÜM!
Description: Play a level in SHÜM
How to get: Each Zone contains at least one arcade cabinet once it reaches the necessary Zone Level. Complete a level rather than quitting early, since completion is what triggers the achievement.

Out of Uniform
Description: Equip an outfit item in every customization slot
How to get: Go to any wardrobe and fill all six slots: Top Layer, Hair, Base Layer, Facial Hair, Accessories, Body and Face. Side quests and Vendors will provide enough pieces by then.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is any achievement in Control Resonant missable?
Only Be What You Want to Be, and it includes a safety net. The game autosaves after every main quest, so reload the nearest save and replay the karaoke sequence using the correct nine lyrics to earn the achievement.

Q. Do I need the DLC for full completion?
No. Control Resonant released without an Expansion Pass or any story DLC, so Interdimensional Protector requires only the other 49 achievements in the base game.

Q. Does difficulty or Assist Mode affect any achievement?
No. Assist Mode's Immortality, One-Hit Kills, and adjustable damage sliders do not block any achievement, so using them for a difficult Resonant has no completion cost.

Q. How long does full completion take?
Expect 30 to 50 hours. A normal story completion takes 20 to 30 hours by itself, while side content, Zone leveling, and Artifact farming account for the remainder.

Q. Do I need New Game Plus for any achievement?
No. New Game Plus and the New Game ++ mode introduced in the October 1.4.0 update are for repeat playthroughs and build experiments, not for anything on the achievement list.

Q. Which achievement takes the longest to finish?
Graffiti Artist. It requires all six Resonants to be dead and the Hedron to be defeated, making it the full-completion checklist for the campaign's main-story half.
