Cat Life: Exploration Marker Locations

To find every exploration marker in Cat Life, search the Shipyard first, then sweep the Islands, Forest and Green Plains, Town Houses, Research Base, and Volcano by marker rarity. The locations below are grouped by level and color, with landmarks such as ships, lakes, cliffs, buildings, and docks used as navigation points.

Lv1 common white markers

Shipyard

Behind the second trailer at the spawn buildings.
On the roof of the starting buildings.
Inside the smaller square room of the large red building.
Behind the trailer truck near the large red building.
Inside a red container stacked on two green containers near the shipping containers.
Above a green container stacked on red and blue containers in the shipping-container area.
On the large blue ship between the red lifeboats.
Near the very front of the large red ship.
Inside the open blue container opposite the large blue ship.
On the large building nearest the three circular silos.
Inside the large building near the three silos.
On top of one of the circular silos.
Inside the triangle-roofed hangar near the large red building, on boxes.
Inside the same hangar, on pallet holders.
Inside the open blue container near the gate entrance.
Inside the red building, in an open red container behind a pallet of sand bags.

Islands, Forest, and Green Plains

Swim from the small boat docks to the farther island and check the rock in its center.
From the starboard side of the large blue ship, travel straight toward the coast. The marker is on sand dunes near the shoreline.

Lv2 uncommon green markers

Shipyard and Islands

On the smaller square roof of the large red building.
Inside the building to the right of the previously mentioned trailer truck, on a pallet holder.
On a small boat near the docks.
On top of the large blue ship near its antennas.
On the very top antenna of the large red ship.
Inside the closed building near the three silos, on stacked boxes.
Swim from the small boat docks to the first island and check the small hill in its center.

Forest and Green Plains route

On a rocky peninsula between the volcano and Shipyard.
Beyond that peninsula, near trees and small hills where spiders are found.
On a rock in the open green area between the path and volcano.
From the starboard side of the large blue ship, pass the sand-dune marker and check the small rock farther out.
Continue along the coast to a small cliff near a tree.
Continue along the coast to a large rock by the shoreline.
Turn right from the previous marker and cross the green meadow.
Turn left into the trees and climb the hill to the rock.
Continue toward the opposite coast. Near the volcano, check the rock surrounded by red tulips before the slope.
Go down the slope. Three markers are visible around the small tree-covered islands and the cliff to the right: one in the middle, one to the left, and one to the right closer to the volcano. Swim to the island markers.
On a rock at the east side of the lake.
Past the lake on the far eastern side, near the tall redwoods.
Near the southeast side of the lake, approaching the volcano.
On sandy ground at the north side of the large lake.
On a sand mound at the far northern coast.
Where the lake becomes a river, check the cliff on the left at the far north.
At the end of the metal dock at the far northwest boat dock.
Inside the abandoned chicken coop at the farm buildings.
On a rock about 170 meters west of the small farm.
On a rock near a crevice at the southern base of the volcano.

Town Houses

Inside the southernmost building, in a horse stable.

Lv3 rare blue markers

Shipyard: Dive under the back of the large blue ship.
Forest and Green Plains: Check the slope above the lake near the volcano; a rock across the lake near the volcano; a rock between the research station and volcano; the lonely northeastern shack and its attic; and the rock behind that shack toward the volcano. From that rock, one marker is on a mossy rock to the left and another is among trees to the right.
At the far eastern lake crevice; on the sandy rock at the southeastern lake near the volcano; on the cliff directly above it; on the right-hand cliff where the lake becomes a river; and in the middle of the river directly below that cliff.
On hills north of the lake; on the left cliff at the far northern lake-to-river section; on a rock farther north beyond the river; and on another rock farther north toward the coast.
At the northwest dock, on the bow of the docked boat.
Along the west coast straight out from the large blue ship, high in a tree.
Farm: Inside the big house on a bed near a minigame start, and inside the tall barn in the rear next to a propane tank.
Town Houses: On the refrigerator in the southwestern house; on the bed in the western middle house; on the roof of the central house; on a shelf in the eastern house with loud music; and in the shower of the northwestern house.
Research Base: On blue stacked cubes near the sea; on a large square that also has a cube; inside a large blue building in a side hall; and on a rock up the hill from the base, away from the volcano. The building interior may require the relevant quest or the described jump entry.

Lv4 epic purple markers

On top of the bear cave at the volcano base.
On a partially sunken small boat at the far end of the island from the starting docks.
In the middle of the far northeastern large island.
Inside the northeastern lonely shack.
On a small water-surrounded sand mound at the east side of the large lake.
Past the lake among the tall eastern redwoods: one is high on the back of a tree and another is in the middle of the trees on rocks.
In the ocean just off the far northern coast.
Town Houses: On a bed in the northwesternmost house.
Research Base: On the large squares nearest the volcano; on one of four cubes in a blue building; and in two additional blue-building interiors, including a corner. The interiors may require a quest or the described jump entry.
Volcano: On three rocks on the western upper slope, and on the snowy northern side between the peaks.

Lv5 legendary orange markers

Forest and Green Plains: On a small ghost boat far north in the ocean.
Research Base: Inside a large blue building, on seven blue barrels near the wolf boss.
Volcano: Along the upper ridge below a minigame; on the far northern snowy area between the peaks near a penguin; and inside the bottom of the volcano.

Important save note for the volcano marker

The orange marker inside the bottom of the volcano may require a new game if the save was created before version 0.71. In an older save it may not appear when you reach the volcano, while a new game can display it immediately.
