To install a Russian translation for Alice Nation, install the IL2CPP build of BepInEx, add XUnity.AutoTranslator to the game’s root folder, launch the game once so the required files are prepared, and then place the translator configuration in alicenation\BepInEx\config\. The translation targets English text and uses Russian as the output language.
Files you need
- The Unity IL2CPP release of BepInEx. Do not use a release intended for another Unity scripting backend.
- The XUnity.AutoTranslator release.
- The supplied
AutoTranslatorConfigconfiguration file, if available.
Download the archives from the relevant release pages or from the prepared file package. The BepInEx archive must specifically be the IL2CPP version.
Install the plugins
- Open the game’s installation directory. In the game launcher or library, use the game’s management option and choose Browse local files.
- Extract the BepInEx IL2CPP archive directly into this root directory.
- Extract the XUnity.AutoTranslator archive into the same root directory. Do not put either package inside an additional nested folder.
- Start the game. A BepInEx console should appear during the first setup. Allow the game to continue until the required archive and supporting files have been installed.
- After the game has fully loaded, wait about 30 seconds and then close it.
If the automatic library download fails
If the required archive does not download automatically, open alicenation\BepInEx\unity-libs\. Put the downloaded archive with numbers in its filename into this folder. Keep that archive compressed; do not extract it. If an archive with the same name is already present, replace it with the downloaded copy. Launch the game again and let it finish loading before closing it.
Configure Russian output
Return to the game directory and open alicenation\BepInEx\config\. Copy the supplied AutoTranslatorConfig file there and approve replacement if Windows asks. If you are configuring the translator manually, the relevant settings are:
[Service] Endpoint=GoogleTranslate FallbackEndpoint=GoogleTranslateV2 [General] Language=ru FromLanguage=en [Behaviour] MaxCharactersPerTranslation=1000 IgnoreWhitespaceInDialogue=False
Use the translation
Start the game normally after the configuration is in place. Some text may take a few seconds to appear, particularly text shown when hovering over a map or another interface element. Wait briefly for that text to populate. The translation may not repair every font-display issue, so translated text can still have font-related appearance problems.
Hide the BepInEx console
Once the installation works, open the BepInEx configuration file in alicenation\BepInEx\config\. Find the [Logging.Console] section and change:
Enabled = true
to:
Enabled = false
Save the file and restart the game. The translator can be disabled in-game with Alt+0.
If AutoTranslator is not detected
If BepInEx works but no AutoTranslator folder or translation file is created, first install only BepInEx and launch the game. Close it, then place XUnity.AutoTranslator in the game’s root directory and launch again. Also verify that the AutoTranslator files were not extracted into a different folder instead of the actual game root.
